We are using the latest technology in sod harvesting. We began this season with the first Trebro Manufacturing TSR harvester in the country. The technology is so far advanced, the computer that runs the machine can be repaired remotely through a cell network. It uses touch screen controls and the cab rotates 90 degrees to facilitate easy viewing of the sod being cut. It also uses cameras for easy viewing of the different functions that are taking place while harvesting. It anticipates when sod need to be picked up and also anticipates when to inject a pallet. All of the machines functions are controlled by a joystick type control.
We are using a Loadmac forklift supplied by Trebro Manufacturing, manufactured in the UK. The fork lift has an extended reach mechanism, capable of unloading a trailer from one side when conditions are tight. Unlike any other forklift, it has the tilt and side shift functions available when the mast is extended. These functions make for easy unloading when pallets are packed tight on the trailer.
