What types of sod do you sell?
We sell our own custom blended Kentucky Bluegrass for full sun areas and our own custom blended Turf Type Tall Fescue for shadier areas and areas near salt water.
What size is your sod?
We have 2’ x 5’ rolls (10 sq. ft. each) and 4’ x 100’ (400 sq. ft.) “big roll” sod.
How much sod comes on a pallet?
Typically, 600 sq. ft. on a pallet, but we can cut any amount in increments of 10.
Is there a warranty on your sod?
Unfortunately, there is no warranty on our sod products. We do guarantee that it shows up healthy and green, and tough enough to handle without worry. There are too many variables after the sod arrives: weather conditions could adversely affect the sod after it is installed ( drought, soaking rains, lack of sunlight, etc.). Also, there are many things that can go wrong with fertilizer, pesticide, and nutrient applications that could damage the sod. Lastly, mechanical damage from mowing too close, excessive foot traffic prior to rooting, and pet damage from running, and turning, and urine spots.
How long can the sod stay on the pallet?
The sod should be put down immediately after it arrives. During hot or humid weather, the sod will generate heat causing the sod rolls to burn, and sometimes perish. If you have multiple pallets of sod, work off of one pallet at a time, using up all of the pieces before going to the next one. NOTE: The best thing to do is schedule a delivery or pick-up only after everything is prepared so you don’t have to leave the sod rolled up while working on the prep.
